There is no memorable experience in life than an encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas. Mountain gorillas are listed as endangered, only about 900 individuals left worldwide and three countries host these apes these include Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Gorillas in these countries are habituated to human standards and they can be tracked safely in their natural environment without any harm caused to human if at all you follow the rules and regulations being given to you by the guide. Gratitude should go Dian Fossy who was a prominent primatologist and a researcher who studied and habituated these giant apes for a period of over 18 years, although her work was put to an end when she was killed by the said poachers whom she had made herself very unpopular since she was against their acts of poaching these apes.
